COTA SA welcomes search for solutions for 'stranded' patients | |

Our Chief Executive Miranda Starke was quoted in InDaily, welcoming SA Health's search for a lower acuity facility for older people who are "stranded" in hospital as they are unable to find an aged care place or access the supports they need. Miranda also discussed this complex issue further with David Bevan on ABC Adelaide (segment starts at 48 minutes). | |

Easing the loneliness of older South Australians

The story puts the spotlight on the friendship between COTA SA volunteer visitor Suzanne and former fashion designer Constance. Suzanne visits Constance regularly and they've become like family. Constance says, for anyone who is lonely there is help, "Put your hand up, reach out".
